Teamarama 31/10/10

Well we managed to get a team together for the annual Teamarama at Smeatharpe.  Traditionally this is a hard meeting - at the end of the season and usually in adverse weather conditions! 

Dave and Bam were joined by 55 Oggy and 47 Marcus A'Lee for the day and a rough ride was had for all, as expected though Oggy did manage to rod his little socks off in the first heat and Spoons managed second in the final!  Bam managed to have one of the biggest wrecks of the day after a follow in from 341 Jonesy who seems to have some unnatural obsession with him lol!! 

Apparently we ended the day with 31 points (5th?) which was good going as we had 33 according to Crispen as Dave was lining up for the final, totally ruining our 3rd place track record :-)  Thanks to all the mechanics, helpers and mad bat supporters for a great fun day!

Cornish Championships 3/10/10

The first meeting out for the newly streamlined team!  Bam in a dingo estate and Dave in a hatch.  A fairly quiet day, with team runners & co mainly trying to get points for the World Final.  The usual display of team racing saw Bam get a 1,2,3 (Jones, Carter & Ellacott) on the bottom straight/infield resulting in a trip to St Johns for concussion.  One good point though was the officials checking for slip diffs at the meeting, keep at it and don't forget those tyres lol!

We seem to have dragged James "Mr B" Bennetts out of retirement  for the occasional meeting!   A frenzied Vintage Tin appearance was closely followed by him turning out a cracking yank at Blockbuster in the team colours.  Despite many changes to racing over recent years (and not being the best time to be out in our colours lol!) James has already made quite an impact!
